Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why does timing matter so much when receiving a settlement?
Some strategies have to be in place before you receive the money. A structured settlement annuity, for example, generally must be set up as part of the settlement itself. Once funds are paid to you, those options may be gone, though other planning can still help.
I already signed or received my settlement. Can you help?
Our planning work happens before a settlement agreement is signed, so we can't take on finalized settlements. Your results will point you to articles about taxes, benefits and managing the money from here.
Do you represent clients in lawsuits?
No. We don't handle legal cases or negotiate settlements. We work alongside your attorney to plan for the settlement you're about to receive, since some decisions need to be written into the agreement.
Will you share my information?
No. Your answers and contact details are used only to send your results and follow up about your settlement. We never sell or share your email or phone number.
Who is on the Amicus team?
